Ok, I know it's only two games into the season, and that the 49ers are 2-0.  I should be happy, but I'm starting to get the feeling that Alex Smith is not going to be the QB that takes the 49ers all the way.  I know that there are circumstances that he can't control:

He is young. He is on his third offensive coordinator. His wide receivers aren't all that great. But here is what he can control:

Know when the Blitz is coming and adapt. Throw the ball away instead of getting sacked in the 4th quarter and near field goal range. He has looked horrible in the last 4 games counting pre-season.  HORRIBLE.  This is the year he is supposed to show that he at least knows what is going on.  Missing receivers is understandable when you are being rushed and are getting hit a lot, but he isn't even throwing the ball.  Either he doesn't see the receivers, or doesn't know where he should go with the ball when he is pressured.  Both are bad signs.  At this point, the 49ers could have...

Why don't reporters do some real investigating and not target just one person.  If baseball as a whole was doing something illegal, then baseball is to be held responsible and again, the record is not tainted.  Besides, it is a GAME.  It will always be a GAME.  No matter how much reporters try to tell us that sports is bigger than life itself and that they are the keepers of the holy gate of sports itself, they should be treated as nothing more than what they are...Reporters.  Nothing more, nothing less.

There is a great place for grilled chicken in North Beach called Il Pollaio.

It is a no frills small resteurant where you can order a half or whole chicken, split and flat grilled over an open flame.

Half a chicken, fries and a salad at a great price, and you leave full.  Can't beat that!!
